Kassen Product Warranty Information

To provide customer convenience and protection, Kassen provides product warranty information that includes applicable terms and conditions. Complete information can also be found on the warranty card/booklet included with the product, or customers can contact Kassen customer service for further assistance.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. We hereby warrant that the product you have purchased (the “product”) is free from any manufacturing defects that may affect its use under normal installation and use during the warranty period in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  2. Kassen is obligated to repair the product, provide spare parts for repair, replace the product with a new or reconditioned unit, or require you to return the defective product to an authorized repair service provider during the warranty period. All decisions regarding the product are final and binding, and you accept such decisions. Warranty Parts:

  3. Term of this warranty:
    • The warranty is valid from the date of product purchase.
    • Repairs and service are free of charge for life.
    • The warranty covers a 1-year or 30km printhead usage period for label printers, whichever comes first.
  4. The warranty is void and invalid if
    • the product is damaged (i) during transit, (ii) by insects/animals, (iii) by liquid spills, (iv) by user error after purchase (broken, cracked, scratched, faded), and/or (v) by natural disasters or other events beyond the control of humans/other parties.
    • The printhead warranty is void if the damage is caused by impacts, scratches, or defects resulting from misuse.
    • The product is installed, maintained, or used in a manner inconsistent with the instructions.
    • The product uses supplies (ink, ribbon, paper, labels, cartridges) that are not original and not intended for their intended purpose.
    • Repairs, replacements, or modifications have been made by a third party during the warranty period without the authorization of Kassen.
    • The product uses non-original consumables, including but not limited to ink, refills, ink modifications, media, or similar products sold by third parties.
    • The ink cartridge (i) is dry due to prolonged disuse, (ii) refilled by a third party, (iii) modified cartridge chip, (iv) scratched print head due to printing on rough and/or wavy media, (v) physical condition of the print head cable near the print head area is broken due to misuse, (vi) ink leaks due to the ink cartridge being dropped/hit by a sharp object/stored in temperatures above 27 degrees and/or due to shipping to a service center without bubble wrap/foam/protective plastic, (vii) expired ink (more than 6 months from purchase).
    • The seal and/or serial number is damaged/lost.
    • The warranty card is lost or damaged.
  5. The warranty does not cover:
    • Transportation, shipping, and other costs to carry out the repair.
    • Parts must be replaced due to wear (thinning due to use and eventually tearing, such as belts, rubber rollers, platen rollers, gears), rust or dirt, missing accessories (adapters, cables, batteries, gears, rubber rollers), and components designed to be unusable (fuses).
    • Consumables, such as ribbons, ink, toner, ribbons, cartridges, labels, paper.
    • Products with discarded or replaced model and serial numbers.
    • Damage or defects caused by additional equipment or consumables other than genuine Kassen products.
    • Damage caused by computer viruses/malware.
    • Backup data and applications to the repaired unit.
  6. Except as stated above, no representations, whether express, implied, oral, or written, made by any other party regarding the product shall be binding on Kassen.
  7. This warranty applies only to products installed and used at the point of purchase and does not apply to products supplied by authorized Kassen distributors and retailers in your country.
  8. Warranty claims can be submitted through after-sales service.
  9. If any warranty terms are deemed invalid or unenforceable, the continuation and consequences of these terms will not be affected. Kassen reserves the right to change or adjust the terms and conditions of this warranty without prior notice.
  10. An unboxing video is required upon receipt of the product and a test of the product when it is first turned on. Any complaints without an unboxing video will not be accepted.
